When Life Gets Busy - Breathe

I’m here in New York City, the town that never sleeps, and I decided to pay attention to those around me as I walked around the city over a few days. There’s a vibration here unlike anywhere else that I’ve been.  People are working to be as productive as they can in every moment. I’ve witnessed people talking on the phone and drinking and eating while they quickly walk down the street.  I’ve seen others walk out into oncoming traffic and step around cars like a dance to get to the other side as fast as they can. These are busy people with places to go and things to do.

What I couldn’t get a sense of is whether they were enjoying themselves. I rarely saw people smile and had trouble catching them in the eye to acknowledge them with a nod and “hello”. So, why do I bring this up? Because, we can all get going so fast to be as productive as we can and forget to connect to our Spiritual source who can help to make our lives easier and more fun while accomplishing our goals in greater measure. To stay connected and achieve more of your desired outcomes, do the following:

  1. Revisit your goals each morning.

Describe them in writing as completed with gratitude. e.g. I’m so grateful that I am always on time or early to my appointments. Thank you that I easily and joyfully facilitate a fair exchange of value to be of assistance to my customers. Our company grows, thrives, and prospers to serve a greater number of customers in valuable ways. I am grateful to be healthy, wealthy, free and have fun!

  1. Make what you want familiar and welcome.

Read stories about other people who have achieved the kind of success that you desire. Go to events where you can meet these people and hear their stories first hand. As you do, you’ll recognize “if they can do it, I can do it.” Your belief in possibility will attract what you desire sooner.

  1. Be courageous and follow intuitive directions.

As Steve Jobs said, “Have courage to follow your heart and intuition.” We all receive intuitive messages. They can show up as strong thoughts to go somewhere, do something, or contact someone. They might show up as a feeling in your gut or heart that’s trying to get your attention.Sometimes the messages come through other people or signs that are external to us. When you receive an intuitive message, be courageous and take action even if it doesn’t make sense. If you feel scared or uneasy, tell your inner source of intuition that you want another confirming lead. You’ll get one.

  1. Set your timer for every 3 hours during the day to stop, breath, and be grateful.

As you stop for 30 – 60 seconds and notice your deep breathing, declare gratitude for whatever comes to mind. e.g. I’m so grateful that I have a great job. Thank you for the weather today that allows me to remain dry while walking. I am grateful for my healthy body. Declaring gratitude statements will have tremendous wellness benefits and will alter your mood to be calm and receptive. You will then begin to notice more intuitive messages to point you toward achieving your goals sooner. Now that’s something to feel grateful about!

Many of us enjoy being productive and busy. I know that I do. You can still enjoy being productive while also investing a small amount of time each day to tune in to yourself and your Spiritual partner. The benefits in doing this will include a more balanced, healthier, and happier life with less of the work required by you to achieve what you want. You’ll be guided to receive even more.
